I'm sure these have both been covered a thousand times but input greatly appreciated, I've just started using a cpap and the mask is giving me problems, it's a full face mask and after only two days use I have an extremely sore nose on the bridge, so much so that I don't think I can continue to use it without causing massive problems with pressure sores, if I loosen it off then it fails the mask seal test?? the other is strap marks that last for hours, any ideas or tips please

Good Morning,
Thank you for your post. Can I kindly ask which mask you are currently using?
There is always an adjustment period when you are new to CPAP, or change your mask. However it should not be damaging you nose.
For anyone who is having mask issues, we normally suggest the following
1. Check the mask size is correct – this can be done by finding your mask on our website - https://www.cpap.co.uk/shop/cpap-masks.html - Open the mask page and scroll half way down to the “download” tab. Click on the downloads tab, and you will see the sizing guide file. Download it by clicking on the file. Print the sizing guide out at 100%. There is normally an image like a rule or credit card for you to check the run out is printed at 100%. Follow the instructions on the sizing guide to see which mask size is best for you. Please note the sizing guides are mask specific.
2. Fitting Video – We recommend watching a fitting video online to ensure you are wearing and adjusting the mask correctly. A lot of people tend to tighten the mask to get a better seal. This is not the case. We also suggest adjusting your mask whilst lying down, rather than sitting up as your face is a different shape.
3. RemZzzs Mask Liners – These are a soft cotton fabric liner creates a barrier, absorbs skin oils and reduces air leaks as well as skin irritation and pressure marks. You can try a sample pack for just £6.99. All you need to do is click on the link to the product page - https://www.cpap.co.uk/remzzzs-cpap-...sk-liners.html - then scroll down the page to near the bottom where it says “compatibility chart”. You need to find your mask in the list and go across the table to the far column, which will tell you the 2 options to select in the drop down menu at the top of the product page before you add the item to your basket.
Please let me know how you get on.

Good afternoon,
Thank you for your post.
Do you have a first aid kit with a bit of lint or soft cloth that you could pop on your nose to protect it for now when using the mask?
The RemZzz mask liners will help, but it is best to check the sizing guide and fitting video first.
If none of my suggests help then you might want to try a hybrid mask that sits under your nose - https://www.cpap.co.uk/shop/cpap-mas...ral-masks.html
Please let me know how you get on.
