  • Too noisy!

Hi all - I'm doing pretty well with my Resmed machine and Quatro mask, but sadly my partner isn't getting much sleep.
The machine itself doesn't cause any bother but the air hissing out of the mask (especially if/when it leaks a bit), is driving her bonkers. It wakes her then keeps her awake.
I have tried alcohol, drugs and ear plugs to no avail... the only thing that seems to work is the spare room - not ideal!
Question - does anyone have experience of a mask that is a lot quieter? I'm wondering about the full face cloth sleep weaver.... any suggestions very welcome.

    Cheers

    sleepweaver anew

    Hi Stratters.

I've still got the one Intus sent me and your are welcome to it.
Just drop me a note with your address and I'll pop it in the post.
However I did doctor it slightly by making the nose hole bigger.

I have a problem with some masks as I have fairly prominent cheekbones; the Mirage Liberty overcomes this problem but you do have to put up with the nasal plugs.

      Mirage Liberty

The Liberty also has two sets of air holes which are on either side of the mask and not straight ahead. This leads to more a diffused air exhaust which is also quieter.

        sleepweaver

        Thanks Grumpy,

Nice offer with the sleepweaver - thanks, but in the meantime Ive bought one! (ive only tried it once and on that performance I won't be bothering many more nights...)

I'll look out for an opportunity to try a Liberty.... thanks for your help - appreciated.
