  • Dry skin where the mask goes

    Hi
Has anyone have any ideals of how I can keep my eczema under control and still wear the mask as the skin where the mask goes is very dry and red all the time. Currently my eczema is starting to flare up again not sure if it is due to having the heating on or just eczema. I have been trying to see what happens when I put wheat back into my diet but I feel ill for days and then I start getting the crusty type of eczema on the neck. My scalp played up when I tried goats milk so I'm back on soya milk which I dont mind as it will help with other problems that I have. I have tried the mask liners but it didnt help even if i doubled or tripled them I still had the skin problem.

Hi Dee, its not perfect but I find if i switch between masks my face takes less of a battering. I use the pilario and sleepweaver on alternate nights so the mask and the straps are on different bits of my head. It can be awkward/expensive finding masks that work for you but perhaps your sleep centre can help.

Dry skin where the mask goes:

      Hi
I have just brought a Nasal Soft CPAP Cushion from Hope2Sleep hopefully this will protect the bridge of the nose also I brought some mask strap covers so I don't have marks on my face in the morning. I might consider buying a hose lift again as the first one I got doesn't work because it falls apart every time. Also because I have an adjustable bed it isnt at the right angle. The one that is on Hope2Sleep looks a lot better than the one I brought from some where else.

I will let you know how each item helps when I use them later.
