  • Swift fx mask! Help need suggestions , please!

    Hi
I'm very new to this forum.

I've only been on cpap for 3 weeks now, and wow! What a difference to how I feel, it's amazing!
I've got used to it quite quickly (I think) I have a resmed autoset s9 the highest pressure I've seen it at is 19 in the night! My ahi has been as low as 0.0 on a few occasions and my highest is only 1.7 !
I've taken the ramp function off , because I prefer the higher pressure compared to the low, I can feel it more in my lungs.

Here's my problem... I use a swift fx mask which I really like because not too claustrophobic, and I'm not getting any leaks and always have a green smiley face on my machine, but I keep trying to lay on my face , as I've always done this, but it's putting pressure on my gums and front teeth every night! So in the morning my teeth really hurt and have moved moved enough in 3 weeks to now have a gap in the front!!!!
Luckily I have a sister in the dentist industry who is making me a retainer to see if it stops it, fingers crossed, otherwise it will keep on moving them out.
I went through years of braces when I was a teen , so really don't want them moving about again!!!!

I suppose I'm asking for suggestions on what to do, I can't get a hospital appointment for weeks to get another mask. Maybe I need a full face mask , I can't just buy one because I wouldn't know what size I'd need! Also I know they come with problems, like leaks and feeling claustrophobic !! Tried sleeping on my back too and my ahi goes up and I can feel my self stop breathing!
Are the sleep apnea pillows any good?
I'm not sure what to do!
Any comments or suggestions would be so welcome , thank you!

    Hello!
The only mask I think that will be useful to you sleeping on your front is the sleepweaver advance. The fisher and paykel pilairo may work as well, but the sleepweaver is brilliant.

      Hello and thank you symmit.
I will have a look at them! Are they compatible with any machine?
I now have my retainer which is helping loads. But might try another mask just in case! Thank u .
