Freebie: Medium Quattro mask

For NHS reasons beyond my understanding, I have a medium Resmed Quattro mask that is no use to me. It is complete except for the headgear - brand new, never used, in the opened bag, I use a large Quattro FX mask with a medium Resmed headgear, which is why the bag is open and the headgear is missing. However, there is an option to also accept a small Resmed headgear (fits a Quattro) but it has been used for one week and washed after use.

Would anyone like the medium Quattro mask and/or small headgear? For free except postage, say £5 at a guess, £3 for the headgear alone If you would like either or both, please PM me with your delivery address. I'll send you my PayPal address and then mail the mask to you when I have received the funds.

I wanted the seals for my humidifier chamber but I had to take a complete chamber with the seals. I wanted a headgear but I had to take the whole mask, with headgear attached. Short of funds????

It's too big for me Tigers Fan. I use an extra small.

The forum is fairly quiet just now, so I'd hold on to it for a bit longer. You could always try selling it on eBay, or try using Gumtree, if you get no response here.

The mask is gone, I'm afraid. A few people sent me PMs but the mask has gone. Currently being trashed on the Council landfill site.

Seems I should have been more patient - the story of my life in seven words!

Doesn't matter how many times I tell my clinic that they can save money by buying mask parts, they insist on buying and supplying complete masks only. They seem not to have noticed that most of their clients these days are old hands at papping - gone are the days when CPAP was in its infancy and we had to buy our own kit and every client was a newbie needing complete everythings.

By the way, if your mask is too small - or you think it is - get onto your clinic for a new one a size up. You still have to pester them to get what you want, but you get it in the end - if you persist.

Ah well, never mind.

I had to fight to get the extra small mask! I kept telling the sleep clinic that the small mask kept slipping under my chin, but they insisted that it was just a matter of adjusting the straps. Then I saw a different nurse, who agreed to let me try the extra small, and oh what a difference. It felt snug and perfect, and still does.

Yes, when I was having problems with masks I was tried with lots of them and but lots of nurses.
Then one day I went in and got a nurse I didn't care for much. Told her I was fed up of masks onds having a sore face.
She smiled and said to wait there.
She returned with about five trays of masks.
She said some were old hat but if she can find one that will work for me she will.
She thought she had found the right one, but after being home I found that although it was better it still didn't do anything for me. Her husband suffeted from OSA and she said she would not be beat!
She phoned the following week to says she had some new stock in and to come down and try them.
Not second invite needed.
I came home with Nasal Pillows.

It was like being in paradise.
Give that nurse a medal.
Well, Vodka would be more uded to her.
There appeared to be a standing joke about her and Vodka that I never found out about
