  • Noisey vents

I've not tried this - but i've noticed a couple of people metioning noisy venting - and i found some posts on another forum.

Basically the idea seems to be you place a small bit of mesh fabric and place it in the mask (i'd guess in the vent area) they metion the swift's barrel - the mesh breaks up the flow a bit. I'd urge caution - making it sure it doesn't stop in air coming in !

The two meshes meationed are tulle fabric, and mesh bags that oranges are sold in.

Some say it helps some say it doesn't - but hey how much are a bag or oranges - and you could even eat them.

If you go to www.cpaptalk.com and search on tulle - you should get some hits.

    opps noisy not noisey !

I hope you mean it does not stop the air going out! These vent allow the carbon dioxide in your exhaled breath to be flushed out of the mask/tube and are very important.

I was once given a mask that did not have these vents and although very quiet...they gave me a VERY bad head ache.!!!
