Quattro fx wont stop leaking.

Hi. I have only had my cpap machine for about 2 weeks, at first i kept taking it off at night and forgetting i had done it, woke up and it was turned off with the mask on the floor. Now i have got over that i have been waking up every night with the mask leaking at the top of my nose. No matter how i set the straps it wont help, some nights its fine but most of the time i give up after a few hours which is making me tired again during the day. Could it be that im not cleaning it right or something? any advice would be appreciated.

You may have the wrong sized head for your mask, the wrong sized headgear for your cranium, the wrong shaped face for the mask but most likely of all, you have a Q FX headgear on your Q FX. Get a Q headgear a size smaller than you would normally take - on a Q, for instance, and your problems will be gone!

The Q FX headgear stretches - makes a night long seal impossible.

I have had a look for the headgear you were talking about and cant seem to find anythind, any chance you could provide me with a link where i can buy it?

Hi Fluffyhead69, I too battled with the Quattro FX. as full facemasks go i found it so so comfortable. just wished i could have found away to get a decent seal. i tried other head gears etc in the end i made another appointment at the clinic only this time by chance saw a different Nurse she told me straight away that she would have never have recommended the QuattroFX to me because of the size of my nose, she said its a pretty common problem with the Quattro FX that if your nose is smaller than average it will leak from the top of the bridge.

fingers crossed changing the headgear will work for you though. it really is a comfortable mask.

Thats exactly my problem. Im seeing a consultant on tuesday so i might take it with me and see if they can do anything for me. Only got 1.3 hours use of it last night till it drove me crazy enough to just take it off.
