  • Snoring with mask on

Hi this is Liz (sleepless) does anyone have the experience of sleeping with mask on & still snoring?
The sleep clinic said it was because the pressure needed turning up, which they did) so now I'm getting used to the new pressure & starting snoring again with the mask on - according to my husband. Apart from this I'm getting better at coping with the whole CPAP thing

With me the cause was an over-tightened lower strap on the headgear. Donning the mask and clipping it in place would push my jaw backward into my airway - thus causing snoring.

At Southampton, the test for successful treatment was that you no longer snored - maybe they no longer do because they haven't asked me the question in a couple of years.

There are umpteen reasons for snoring with CPAP. Google knows them all.
