  • Mask advice please!!!

    Hi everyone,
Been on Cpap since Oct 2010, (Papworth clinic cambs - have been great), currently REMstar pressure 13. Have 7 masks - yes SEVEN, and still struggling like mad. I am not giving up as since being on CPAP for the first time in my life I sleep right through the night, which I didn't do even as a child, and the black circles and pain under my eyes have gone.

Currently have -Quattro Mirage, Quattro FX, Liberty, Comfort Lite nasal, Swift FX, a fisker paykel ful facethat goes under the chin, and a nasal one by respironics that I don't know the name of! I started off for several months using the Mirage with lots of cotton wool padding over my nose and REMZZ liners. Had the headgear and cushion changed and no matter what I do I cant get it to seal, take if off, start again, loosen straps, tighten straps etc. I had high hopes for the swift, but the nasal cushions hurt the inside of my nose and I can only endure it for a couple of hours. The Quattro FX is great and the one I am currently enduring but it ends up in my mouth, leaving tram lines and indents on my face, giving me a large permanent wrinkle under my left eye (for a 39yr old female is no fun) and is pressing on my lower gums and making them receed!!

I have fibromyalgia and a lot of facial pain and think I am going to end up using a total face mask......

Looking at the sleepweaver... does it really seal?? Is it worth the money because I have wasted so much already? Papworth won't supply this as in their trials no-one can get it to seal effectively. And finally has anyone got any tips or advice? Sorry for the long post!

    Kind regards, Nikki
