nah.. using the 1 i picked up on friday...
But i changed a couple settings in the machine... mainly the lowest pressure from 4 up to 7... which seems to have had a massive effect on cutting out any potential flow limitations..... and hence stopping the machine from ramping the pressure up further (at least thats what i think has happened)

i will try and post here my results from last night... the differnce is night and day from my previous 2 nights with the same mask

i reckon thats as perfect a night as anyone could wish for

          Hi Chivalry.

Welcome to the world of controlling your own therapy. Get yourself an oximiter as well and you'll be a full blown hard-edged stats chaser!

The advice you got on the other forum was sound, increasing the minimum pressure is useful in helping prevent the apnoea happening and stop the machine having to react as much. Give it a few days set at 8 and if it's still hitting higher numbers (say 12+) up it another notch - mine goes in 0.5s.

I've just upped mine to 10 after a couple of odd nights and had a good night last night, seems to go in cycles. Stats chasing is being reduced for a while as gravity and a hard surface means I no longer have a working oximiter - replacement ordered!

I've kept my max at 20, because the machine never got anywhere near.

Note that the "leakage" reading will step up with pressure, it's measuring total flow through the machine so will increase due to the vented mask as the pressure is increased.

How did you find waking up - are you finding the pressure is almost pleasant?

when i woke this morning i actualy had to check my machine was still running.. it was so quiet.. and i couldent feel any pressure in the mask,,,
Could have quite easily lay there with the mask on it was so unoticible ..

If you check the thread on cpaptalk i posted above,, i have posted up my graph from last night... its as close to perfect as i expect a graph can get

I checked the thread - it's very good.

Learning to interpret the graphs is a great thing to ensuring you get the best therapy and quickest response to changes - when you get a cold you'll be able to see whether more or less pressure is better for you, and be able to adjust for alcohol, weight loss, whatever!

Excellent - my replacement CMS50F was despatched yesterday - so should see it in a week or two.

Word of advice - don't drop it 10 ft onto a metal object

They are oximiters - from CMS medical in China.

Mine is wrist mounted with a short leaded sensor, his has a longer lead and a separate screen.

the straps stretch a bit with use...have to slightly tighten them a little each night when they are new or freshly washed
