  • Mirage Quattro disassembling for cleaning

Just got my new Mirage Quattro full face mask from the sleep lab leicester.I had the nasal mask for two weeks but not getting on very well with it, I am looking at the User Guide for the Mirage, Disassembling for cleaning.
Do you really have to strip it down every day to clean it.Looks scary things break when I start pulling and twisting. On the bright side I might sleep tonight

hehe... i maybe i bumped into you today.... i was at the drop in clinic to try out yet another mask in the hope i can find one that wont leak

As for cleaning... although all the manuals seem to say it needs stripping and cleaning daily... i never do.... with my mask i tend to strip it every 3 days and use wipes for the other 2 days..
You can get specific wipes from intus specificaly designed for cleaning masks and leave a nice fresh smell..

As for actualy stripping the mask down... once you have done it a few times you will be suprised how short a time it can take to strip, clean and reassemble it again...

          Here's a manual:

Clean it to *some* degree every day and then properly at least once a week. That way you should be fine (but don't come knocking on my door if you die following these instructions).

I strip mine about twice a week and long as its clean it gets a rinse under the hot tap to kill any bugs daily.

                Cleaning the Quattro

Warm water and soap does it for me. I use a soft child's paintbrush to get round the inside of the silicon seal. Run water through the hose too. Hang it up to dry but keep it out of the light..airing cupboard might be an idea.
