  • Mirage Quattro Full Face Review

I have used Mirage Quattro Full Face (Medium) for over 2 years, before that used their previous model.

I have found the mask extremely comfortable, quiet, and leak free when new. However after a couple of months the fit is affected by seal degradation, this inevitably leads to leaks. Changing just the seal overcomes this effectively.

The ability to strip the mask into its component parts, and remove the harness without losing any adjustments. is by far the best improvement over previous models. This encourages one to dismantle and clean the mask daily as there is no subsequent readjustment required. It also means that the harness itself lasts longer as there is no need to keep adjusting the Velcro tabs.

The only long term problem I have had is leak developing around the elbow where the tube connects to the mask. I have noted that the elbow design has been modified to the extent that I now only need to change it yearly.

All in all I have not been even tempted to try another manufacturer’s mask as the Quattro meets all of my current needs.

Just for your information I am diagnosed with severe OSA with 73 events per hour. I am 5’ 7” tall and obese at just over 15 st. I have lost over 1 ˝ stone in the last two months and the mask has coped admirably with my changing face shape.

As a tip for gents out there, I have changed my personal care routine so that I shave in the evening; this has led to a much improved mask fit and performance.
