  • mask problems

    hi,new to forum!
my only problem with the full face mask is when i sleep on my back the machine is less effective than whem i lie on my side ie I snore more!
can only assume the mask must slip when i sleep on my back, which is my preferred resting position.
    anybody have the same problem?

    Hi Seaney,

It could be that when you lie down on your back your face alters shape a little and you could quite easily be getting leaks. In this case you need to adjust it once laying down.
I don't want to teach granny to suck eggs so a little more info like:
How long have you had your cpap? Have you been back to the clinic to have it tweeked since you got it? Have you tried other masks?

    Good luck

      Worst position

Sleeping on your back permits a relaxed tongue to add to apnoea problems.

        thanks for the replies!
hi Lorraine,I have had the machine for 6 years, and it is serviced annually.
I will adjust the straps from now on,maybe thats the answer.
