Hi Biggles, Thanks for the reply.
I'm pretty sure I do need a full face mask as I have always been a terrible snorer so generally breath through my mouth. I will ask the tech on Monday though about nasal masks, see what she says.

I think I actually managed some sleep with it on last night so hopefully I'm on the right road....fingers crossed!

Hi EwanJohn, I was a terrible snorer too and if people knew I was going to be staying at the coastal sailing base they would not go. Once I discovered this I booked into a hotel. I could snore in any position imaginable. Hubby is delighted these days as I don't kick him any more either. I really had no idea what he was putting up with. We are all sleeping now

Lycra didn't work for me - my chin strap slipped off even more readily than from my balding pate. However, a kofi skull cap in cotton seems to have solved all my problems - the mask straps hold the kofi cap in place and it holds the chin strap with minimal slippage. It has also served to keep the mask straps from direct contact with my skin and a very mild, almost-rash has dissappeared completely.

If anybody wants a black lycra skull cap a la Simes 2112 please pm me your address and make a £5 donation to NSPCC.

I was hoping someone might have some tips for me?
I am a new user and have an Escape 2 machine and a medium Resmed full face mask.
I am having problems actually sleeping wearing it, but I am persisting and I know eventually I will do. Just a matter of time and perseverance.
Problem is, is that I mostly sleep on my back and I'm having problems with leaks. Initially it's OK. I adjust the straps whilst lying down to get a good fit and to start with its fine.
It's when I relax and start to fall asleep. I start getting major leaks which then keep me awake. The leaks occur around the bottom half of the mask.
Does anyone have any tips please that might help?
            Many thanks,
            Ewan
Just had my mask a week and devil's own job getting a good fit - mostly blowing up around my eyes. Tried this last night with some success. Strip of elastoplast - the long stuff in a roll - across the bridge of my nose and around about two inches down sides of face where mask contacts. On this I had glued some thin fabric. Seems to prevent the updraught going into my eyes. Need to rub the adhesive off the elastoplast a bit as it really grips the skin. I shall continue to experiment. Regards. OldCrow

              experiments continue

Inmy case the leaks are around my eyes but I daresay you could try the strip of elastoplast trick around the chin. I was supplied with some thin lint type fabric with a sticky back but it was way too fierce an adhesive to use on the skin - now I attach this to the outer side of the elastoplast strip cut to size. Double sided sticky tape would seem to be a good adhesive to attach this - don't use ant solvent based stuff near the pastics or your face. Try it and see if you've any modifications. Hi Old Crow,
You really should try the RemZzz they are amazing, as anyone else that uses them will tell you.
                Good luck
