    Hi everyone
just woke up this am, to find my right eye is every painfull, if i close my eye outter part of eye feels red and hot, my eye is not bloodshot, but red, i;m assuming this is frim air escaping from my full face mask when i sleep. there were no leaks from masks when i went to sleep, so mask must of moved whilst asleep, this eye thing is very painfull, has this happened to anyone else. any suggestions?

    hello everyone,
well pain in eye has eased, put cold, luke warm water over eye, painkillers i take daily anyway has helped, i phoned hospital cos to wake up this am with abdomioal pain, and a painfull eye was to much on top of still present EDS, spoke to nice sleep tech, now know i cant av auto cpap off them they dont give them out, she offered to temp lower pressure a bit on cpap to see if that helps its 14.5 now but dont know assume id get more apenea at lower pressure???? seeing GP later today
think i may of had mask to tight last night as woke up with red marks on face and forehead, hence air leak

Whether ot not lowering it will increase AHI depends on whether it's too high now. Maybe a lower pressure will still tackle them all. Finding that balance is what APAPs are so good at! All hands-free too.

Mask leaks can be helped with accessories like the three described in the opening paragraphs here. Many forum users here can vouch for those "gadgets". You can of course also DIY a hose suspension mechanism like TigersFan did (search the forum for great pics).

        Is it .....?

        Hi jasonuk75

I wonder if you are getting 'dry eye' - presumably caused by or at least exacerbated by, mask leakage.

If so, a drop or two of Hypromellose - tears in a bottle - will help no end. Available at any chemist, quid, quid and a half.

If that helps but doesn't cure, try Optex Actimist - but its fifteen quid a bottle.
