Noisy masks.

Hi,

I actually like white noise. It helps me to sleep and I was wondering if anyone knew of a mask (and machine) that is noisy? I bet you were all expecting me to ask the opposite!

White noise is Good noise.

No you are not mad - or else I am too (probably). I find the gentle hiss quite hypnotic and I can tell from the sound whether I've got a good fit or not. Something or other renders me unconscious and it may be the white noise. I've got mine to where it's like a distant tube train - don't mind it at all but not so addicted that I'd want "military jet on reheat!"

It's a bit of an old post but anyway, you two aren't the only ones who like that sound. Rather than relying on a noisy mask, why don't you consider a white noise machine or CD? We used to sell them way back, they were very popular but didn't fit in any more with what we were doing. Sleepmate I think it was called.

Personally, the cabin noise of a passenger jet puts me to sleep. Similar sort of background noise, hiss of the aircon, hum of the engines, plus some chatter. Knocks me out in no time.
