  • CPAP Machine Issue

    Hello Everyone
I have a Remstar Series M and use the pillow type head unit so that it is least offensive. I keep getting warter build up in the nose piece really bad. I have used with differant setting for the humidity control but it still has very bad condensation.

One suggestions was to insulate the tube so I wrapped in towels and that did not work either. Last night I put the unit on the floor and that failed also. Any suggestion would help tremendously.

You may sen email also if you like [email protected]

    Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forums.

Have a search here on the forums about fleece wraps, heated hoses and so on.

You can als crank up the heating in the room as this reduces the temperature difference which is causing this rain-out.

Hi and welcome to the forum,
Try a hose lift, it keeps the hose above your head, and the water drains back to the machine. James can advise on where to get them.
      Best regards,
      Tony

        Hose High Point

        Hi & welcome

Keeping the hose feed high is a significant help - I loop mine round the bed post ans on low humidity settings the mask does not fill with "rain-out" just a little in the feed tube.

I like a cool room temperature so this makes it more likely to happen - what I do is use slightly cooled boiled water in the humidifier at sleep start and have the humidifier turned off - this gives the effect of the humidifier whilst you fall asleep but no rain out during the night as the water cools down. Only down side is a slightly dry mouth on awakening - hope this helps!

        Cheers
