  • Increasing the Pressure.

Can anyone run through the procedure to increase air pressure, for Quattro s8 Resmed, with full face mask.
I've started waking during the night, and was told I would need to increase pressure if this occured.
I've tried several times, to speak to someone, at the hosp(Brompton). With no success.
    Can someone please help.
It's driving me nuts, not getting a good nights sleep.
    Thanks

If your hospital can't help, eBay can. Whether that's the right thing to do is part of a different discussion.

Don't bother with ebay, simple instructions are here http://www.cpap-supply.com/Articles.asp?ID=130

        Hi Qvader,
Thanks so much for the machine instructions, it's really appreciated, and a great example of why we all love the Forum!
        All the best,
        Tony.

          Hi everyone

I dont think it is a good idea to be playing around with the settings without the knowledge of your treatment centre - there are many reasons why you may have started having problems, number one being mask fit and leakage problems. If you have put on weight then it is of course possible you may need a higher pressure to keep the airway events fully under sontrol, although sometimes higher pressures in themselves can eaqually be a feature that disturbs people's sleep.
Perhaps you need to keep hassling your sleep centre.

At the very least you should closely monitor the stats supplied by the machine's reporting. If no such reporting available or you don't have the card reader or software, you can alos consider a follow-up finger pulse oximetry sleep test we do which can help check CPAP has stabilised your blood oxygen levels.

What you wrote made about a hundred things click for me CPAP wise. It was like I could almost understand the puzzle and I could see it from all angles but it just didn't fit. Now it fits

              Thanks
