  • What Kit do you have???

Just a random nosy question really! I have read through the posts and realised the equipment we are supplied with varies greatly. Whilst I realise its mainly down to cost the prices of machines and spec of them does vary.
I suppose some of the manufacturers probably cut a good deal with the NHS you cant blame them if they do, my area Shropshire seem only to have res med. Not that Im complaining far from it.Just wondered.... so line up and tell us what you have

I have Res med S8 Autospirit Apap
Res Med Mirage Quattro Full face Mask
Res Med Swift lt nasal pillows (on order!)

From the Churchill hospital in Oxford I got:

      ResMed S8 Escape CPAP
      ResMEd Quattro full face mask

Haven't got a clue what my AHI is as the Escape doesn't do any statistics apart from hours run and days in use.

Am due for my first annual check next week and will try and wheedle an APAP out of them.
      Regards, GV
Given up my ResMed S8 Escape and got myself a Sandman Auto from James!
Still using the ResMed Mirage Quattro Full Face Mask

Just wondered.... so line up and tell us what you have
          West Yorkshire
          Pontefract
Issued with a Respironics REMstar® Auto M Series with C-Flex™ or A-Flex™ and soon after with a Fisher & Paykel Opus 360 Nasal Pillows mask.
I cannot imagine a better combination for me personally, YMMV.

I actually purchased a Respironics Comfort Curve Nasal Pillows mask £120.00 because the first nasal pillows mask that I was issued with (Breeze Nasal Pillows - Puritan Bennett) was a nightmare.

The comfort curve arrived the day after I was issued with the Fisher and Paykel Opus 360 Nasal Pillows mask. I tried the Comfort Curve once or twice but never managed more than a couple of hours before swapping back to the Opus 360.

          Regards

            Gear?

Oh lord you lot got some great gear.

I have a Resmed S6 light CPAP machine and a Quattro full face Mask from the Churchill Hospital in Oxford in 2005. I have no figures or stats unfortunately. It has an LED read out underneath and an output jack that the nurse at the Churchill was able to connect to. I've had this machine 4 years but who knows if I am the first user? I wish I could have a more modern APAP macine with a humidifier..

The Quattro mask is my fourth I think having a Mirage 3 previously (horrid), a different Mirage prior to that and a nasal mask before that! I do struggle with "spots" where the mask straps rub my neck but the quattro is the best fitting and most rugged mask yet.

My machine is the most basic one available I think and I have had it since 2005 when I was diagnosed. I haven't been back since 2006 because I couldn't get there but i'm intending to get an appointment as it's been so long!
Mart -- Happy CPAP User since 2005.
Resmed S9 Escape + H5i + Climateline and Quattro FX.
            EPR On and Pressure 12cm.

My CPAP machine is the REMstar® Pro M Series with C-Flex™ which I know combine with the Resmed Swift LT nasal Pillows! This new set of nasal pillows is fantastic for me and having the pipe point on the mask to keep it up over your face is ideal especially as I am like an octopus in bed and move around all over the place lol

Respironics Remstar Auto, M series, BiPAP, Aflex with mask Respironics comfort gel nasal.

Don't know if its good or whatever technologically, but it fits me extremely good. Soft, simple and well fitting mask. The A-flex is a must.

At least against the cpap device I tried when trial for cpap at the hospital, the difference is like driving a Porsche against a 70s Lada! (No hard feelings Lada owners!...)
