  • fancy a giggle?

I was recently diagnosed and last friday recieved my cpap machine and face & nose mask...
I got all the bits and bobs out before bed and set about assembling it all...
i got in bed , did i sleep? noooooooo!! was i in a foul mood? yess!
the mask was way too heavy on my face, digging into my cheek bones and eye ssocket bones....i was in a wonderful mood as you can imagine...not!!
Plus i had an oxymeter on my finger so all wasnt hp in this household!
so next morning off i trundled to the sleep clinic to my appointment.
The consultant asked if id been ok with the mask.......noooooo please give me something else i asked...when she took the cpap machine from me , she chuckled, so you wore it like this?
The filter that is supposed to fit in the back of the cpap machine then the hose then the mask , id fitted it to my mask!!! so every time i moved it clonked me one in the eye or chin!! and thats why it was too heavy and no wonder lolol
by the way.....yes this did show me how to connect it but my excuse is im blonde...and very tired!! lolololol

That's a great story, certainly worth a giggle!

I can share a similar one. Someone decided to take matters in his own hands and finally get rid of his snoring. He read a news article which mentioned a CPAP mask so he ordered one and wore it for a few nights but didn't experience any difference. When he rang up for tips/troubleshooting we asked him what his pressure was and type of machine... It quickly became clear he didn't have a machine and was just wearing his mask!
