I must admit the ZZZ is so flexible it can easily be disturbed if you sleep on your side, which I do, but to me the fact that it does not dig into my face far outweighs the fact that I occasionally get an air leak. The noise of the leak tends to rouse me a little so I just change my position slightly until it goes away. I am interested in the Hybrid mask, can you gibve me some more details please as I haven't heard that name before.

The Hybrid has been something of a revelation in the cpap world. It uses nasal pillows and a mouth cushion, so there's less contact area over the face, less chance of leaks and no annoying forehead support. So it's much less invasive than your standard full face mask. I didn't think I'd like nasal pillows but I love them.

It comes with all sizes in the box. So you get small, medium and large nasal pillows and small, medium and large oral cushions. You can also mix and match different sized pillows with cushions. It also has a small chin cup to stabilise things or you can even cut it off if you find you don't want it.

Resmed were obviously inspired by the Hybrid with their Liberty mask.

This isn't me by the way

Ah... I now recognise it, I have tried the Resmed Liberty but I just cant get on with things stuck up my nostrils, I found they really irritated me - maybe something to do with nasal hair

I'm currently trialling the Liberty. I've found it near impossible to maintain a seal on the oral cushion, in both small and large. No problems with the nasal pillows. I don't know what I'm doing wrong It seems to be really sensitive to strap adjustment. Have you got any tips?

The nasal pillows irritated me at first but after applying a small dab of Lansinoh (lanolin) to my nostrils I've really got on with them. No more irritation or soreness.

The oral seal was another problem I had, unless the straps were uncomfortably tight it was difficult to maintain a seal, also there seems very little difference in width between the two sizes. One is slightly deeper i.e. nose to chin, but they are both about the same width. I gave up on the Liberty after about two weeks
