  • Travelling with a Cpap machine

I have only recently started using Resmed 11 cpap machine. I am travelling to the Canary Island in a weeks time. Am I likely to encounter any problems with Easyjet or getting through security.

    Good Morning,

    Thank you for your post.

I would call and speak to Easyjet to inform them you are bringing your CPAP machine and ask them if you require any documentation or anything before you fly.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I have contacted Easyjet, it will not now be classed as part of the booked luggage. More concerned about going through security, there is a letter from my Hospital to confirm I need to carry the machine.
I guess it will be fine.

        Good Morning,

        You are more than welcome.

If you are concerned about security then go back to the airline and ask for advise, or try and call the airport.

We have a lot of customers who fly with their equipment. Our advice is to check with the airline you are flying this can vary. Carrying a letter which advise what the equipment is for and why you have it is great too. Have a copy of the letter on your phone as a back up. Take your equipment as hand luggage so you know where it is at all times, as some customers have lost their luggage with their equipment in.

        Have a lovely trip.
