  • Availability of ResMed Airsense 10 on NHS

Good morning, I have just been diagnosed with sleep apnea via Benenden and the consultant has given me a private prescription for a ResMed Airsense 10 which is very expensive and wondered if it is possible to get the machine on NHS prescription? I am not having any luck with enquiries with the local pharmacy as they are looking for it on the NHS drug tariff. Any views would be welcome.

    Thanks

    Hi Keri.

If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnoea and have a private prescription, have you spoken to you GP to ask for a referral to the sleep clinic? This may take some time but they may be able to provide you with a CPAP machine and mask.
