  • Making progress...

I've been using the system now for about a month. As I bought it outright (£700) I simply had to stick at it... shocking for the first few nights and, on one occasion, if I could have opened the window quick enough the machine and the mask would have spent the night on the front lawn!
As time progressed I felt better and better and now I never kip at the weekends or in the evenings. I get up earlier and I actually wake up feeling like I've slept and wanting to get up. This hasn't happened for ages. Hardly any headaches and even the kids at school have commented that I seem less ratty (ratty... moi?)

The machine usually ramps up to between 10 and 12 but after a few beers the street lights go dim as it struggles to maintain 17! (The mask usually leaks at this stage)

The mask took some adjusting over several nights and I alternated between too tight and too loose... now it's dead on. I wake up most nights at about 2ish and I have to take the mask off for a few minutes. Then it goes back on and I fall asleep again. I reckon in time I'll sleep through without any probs.

My better half loves it and she now has undisturbed sleep for the first time in years as well. Mind you, she nearly died laughing when I sneezed with the mask on the other day and she now irritates me by striking up conversations when I'm all connected up.

Anyway, apologies for the essay but I'm really chuffed with the setup and how much better I now feel. The advice on this forum, especially about being patient, has been a great help! Cheers.

      Well done!
And thanks for sharing your story.
Hopefully it will serve as inspiration to other new members of the "hose nose" club that if you stick with it it will be worth it in the end.
      Cheers
