  • Is the water tank necessary ?

    Hi,

I received an AirSense10 today. I’d been using an F&P Icon for a decade or so.

The sleep technician said that using the water tank might not be necessary as some people get on fine without it. I was under the impression it was essential.

Clearly if I don’t need it that will be one less thing to muck around with so I will give it a go.

What are others’ experiences of going without the humidity ?

    Thanks.

    Good Afternoon,

    Thank you for your post.

Not everyone needs a humidier with their CPAP machine.

We generally suggest to customers to try the machine and mask first, and see how they get on. If they suffer from a dry mouth or nasal passage from using the CPAP machine and mask, then we would suggest adding a humidifier to their machine. This will warm and moisten the air.

If you feel you need one then you would need the HumidAir Humidifier Water Chamber for AirSense 10 as these are machine specific - https://www.cpap.co.uk/product/humidair-humidifier-water-chamber-for-airsense-10/
