Water tank

Hello new to this site. Someone has probably said by now, but.
I live in a hard water area and the tank in my machine stones up really quickly with tap water. So tried bottled water, which proved to be expensive and not much of an improvement. I have discovered, if I drop a steradent tablet in the tank when I fill it up the stoning up has as good as stopped and I don’t have to buy a new tank every year. If anybody finds this useful. Glad I could help.

Please be aware that you should used Distilled water with your humidifier.
Distilled water is the best choice for CPAP humidifiers because it's pure water that is free of minerals and bacteria. Hospitals, labs, and factories often use distilled water instead of tap water because it prevents limescale buildup on devices.
Once a week, soak your humidifier tub in warm water using a mild dishwashing liquid OR in a solution with a ratio of 1 part vinegar and 9 parts water at room temperature. After soaking, rinse thoroughly with warm, drinking-quality water. Place the humidifier tub on a flat surface, on top of a towel, to dry.
The lifespan of CPAP humidifiers varies by manufacturer. Many humidifiers have an expected service life of two to five years, but the water chamber should be replaced every six months
