How long is wait from Aintree

Hi all.
I am newly diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and I’m a driver. I’m worried about my job though I have no real day time sleepiness. I’m just so low in energy.

Does anyone know how long to get a cpap machine on Merseyside?

And do I have to report to DVLA if I have no tiredness ( I went to GP with aches and pains that wouldn’t subside and it led to this)

Thank you for your post.

I would call the hospital / sleep clinic you have been referred to for CPAP equipment and ask how long the waiting list is. Then decide whether you want to wait for the NHS or buy privately. If you choose to buy privately then can I suggest that you email a copy of your diagnosis to [email protected] and we can walk you through the different machines and masks available.

Hi There,

I've just received my CPAP from Aintree Sleep Clinic after waiting nearly a year from my sleep trial and diagnosis.

My score was fairly low so i was instructed not to contact the DVLA although yours may depend on what results you have.
