  • Machine suddenly feeling like there’s not enough air

    Hello all,
My husband reluctantly started CPAP 6 months ago and has found it life changing. He has been suffering from various issues with getting used to the machine (Löwenstein with humidifier) which generally we are able to figure out. The last two nights though it has felt like there isn’t enough air and that he is suffocating, even at full pressure. He says it hurts his lungs to breathe with it on. Thought I’d reach out to you experienced users for any tips or tricks we could try.
    Thank you in advance,
    Sian

    Good Morning,

    Thank you for your post.

Can I kindly ask the following questions
    1. Which Lowenstein machine do you have an it is an auto or fixed pressure machine?
    2. What mask do you have? How old and is there any wear and tear on the mask?
    3. When do you feel there is not enough air? At the start of CPAP therapy of in the middle of the night?
    4. Have you changed any of the settings on the machine?
    5. Do you have access to the CPAP therapy data on the machine?

If you can advise the above then we can see what we can do to help you.

    Kelly
