Recently bought a ResMed 10 Auto set device and quickly got used to sleeping with the mask and so on.
One thing I did notice was the very dry mouth/throat, which I had seen commented on in forums previously, so I went ahead and bought the humidifier and heated tube as an add on.
On the auto-climate settings, the dry throat was still there, and definitely wakes me up/makes it difficult to go back to sleep.
I set the humidifier to manual at Special and the throat was fine but then I was woken up with water gurgling in the tube/on my face. Same at Uncategorized Groups Tube temp at 27-28C.
I have placed the CPAP machine on the floor to encourage any condensation to run back into the tank vs the mask and this is an improvement but still a problem that wakes me up/disturbs my partner.
The sleep that I am getting with the mask on is definitely better quality! And I get around 4 hours unbroken sleep before either dry throat/water in tubes wakes me up.
But with my apneoas, they would wake me up frequently but at least I would go straight back to sleep! With the CPAP it's a load of fiddling around with settings/the mask and it's hard to return back to sleep, which is frustrating.
I feel like I'm nearly there! Can anyone offer any advice/suggested settings etc for the humidifier/tube/general set up to help please?
Thanks
