  • CPAP shortages

    Hello all
I have just been diagnosed with severe apnoea only to be told because of a lack of CPAP machines on the NHS they don’t know when I will be issued with one.

My question is how serious is my diagnosis and can the wait for a CPAP machine make my health worse considering a chest CT scan show nodules on my lungs and inflamed lymph nodes also I have been diagnosed with asthma as well as an aneurysm on my aortic root.

    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Good Afternoon,

    Thank you for your email.

I would suggest contacting your GP to see what they advise given your medical history.

The gold standard treatment for severe sleep apnoea is a CPAP machine.

If you have a copy of your sleep test results and you would consider buying a CPAP machine and mask then you can email me at [email protected] and I send you some information on the different machines and mask available. We do have stock of some of the CPAP machines at present.
