  • New to CPAP cant sleep with mask on

I am new to CPAP i'm using a F&P Sleepstyle which is a fabulous machine benefitting from a heated air tube and a humidifier. I am currently a full face mask a Resmed F10 as the nasal masks i purchased previously didn't stop me getting a dry mouth or coughing . My question is, I can't sleep with it the maximum time around 1 hr, I get dry mouth and cough?

Any hints and suggestions , I tend to sleep on my side a lot , would a hybrid full face mask be useful? should I ask provider to reduce pressure currently 6cm rising to 20cm I really want to feel the benefit of CPAP and as yet not fallen asleep.

Any thoughts on Dreamware full face mask against current Resmed F10

Any helpful advice would be most welcome.

    Good Morning,

    Thank you for your post.

Can I kindly ask you to look at the manual for your CPAP machine and then look at the settings on your machine for the heated tube and humidification. You may need to adjust these settings accordingly as you should not be getting a dry mouth.

I would suggest sorting out the settings for the humidifier and heated tube before changing your mask.

    Kelly
