  • CPAP Causing ear ache

    Hi all

I have recently been diagnosed with severe sleep apnoea and have been using CPAP treatment for about 3 months.

Up to about two weeks ago things were going really well and i felt much better in myself and then i developed discomfort and a ringing noise in my ear, it feels like my head is under water.

If i stop my treatment for a couple of days the discomfort gets better so i am pretty sure this is being caused by my CPAP machine.

Has anyone else experienced this, i did read on line that there is a possible link to CPAP and eustachian tube dysfunction which may account for the trouble i am having.

Thanks for any advise anyone can offer.

    Good Morning,

    Thank you for your post.

Can I kindly ask you which CPAP machine and mask you are currently using?

Have you contacted your GP about this issue to see what they advise?
