  • Adjusting to try and lower AHI

I've been a bit nerdy and recorded my stats for February. I've had an average AHI reading of 6.6 ( just over two months of APAP) which I believe ideally should be below 5.0. As I subscribe to the opinion of the majority of forum members, self help, I am reasonably sensible (just my opinion some may disagree) and have access to the menus of my S8, I,ve presumed that I maybe should up the min pressure setting a wee bit. It's set at min 4 and a couple of nights I've peeked at the reading when I have woken up and found it ticking away at 4.5. I am going to set the min pressure at 5 and see what my average AHI's are for the next couple of weeks. Hopefully I can set a pressure over the next month to bring the AHI within acceptable levels. I would imagine this is what a sleep clinician would do any way. My NHS issued machine was set at 14 before I opted for a private S8.
Any advice or comments would be welcome especially if I'm approaching this all wrong.
    Best regards
    Andy
