I have a goodnight 420 sp and cannott adjust the settings to lower the pressure. Who knows the procedure as I have too much pressure now. Thanks

To get into the clinician's setup mode in a 420 series CPAP machine follow these steps:

1. make sure the CPAP machine is plugged in
2. find the secret button beneath the two "o"s in the word GoodKnight which appears just above the LCD screen
3. press the secret button and the Information Access button simultaneously for 2 or 3 seconds.

Should you really be adjusting this yourself?

Ask your clinic to check your pressure settings....

As Acebass says, do make sure you get the treatment you need. Avoiding noise is one thing, avoiding apnoea events is more important.
