  • NHS don't want my machine

I had my first 6 week check up today, complete with service of my CPAP. All OK, but for nasal congestion, for which I have been prescribed a nasal spray.
Having read in the paper about the huge increase in diagnosed SA, and having also read revues of private sale equipment in the Forum, I asked about buying my own equipment and releasing a machine for another NHS sufferer. The offer was acknowledged, with thanks, but declined. The reason given was that, if I bought my own, I would not get the free 6monthly service, as the hospital technicians would not touch anything other than the NHS supplied one. Also, as they buy so many, the NHS get them dirt cheap. So, will continue with the freebie.
