    Just the cost comparison now.

    Hi everyone.

I've established that the RVs that we are likely to hire all have aux. batteries so we don't need to be hooked up to the mains every night but we might have to charge the aux. battery during the day by running the vehicle. There is usually a cigarette lighter type socket within reach of the beds but there are good quality extensions that can be bought for a few quid/dollars.

I did contact Respironics/Phillips about the use of extensions but they were less than helpful on their first response and said they didn't supply or recommend the use of extensions. After a second e-mail (humorous) from me they loosened up a bit and admitted that they accepted that people did use the machines with extensions but it invalidated the warranty. I didn't ask how they would know it had been used with an extension

All I have to do now that my husband is comfortable I will be able to use the machine is cost the RV hire and campground fees against car hire and motels. More research !

    Cheers. Jane
