pleanty of experience (and threads) about this. No problem taking it through security, they have seen them many times.

take it in your hand luggage...it is the last thing you want to lose

make sure you take a power adaptor the right type, and an extension lead is a pretty good idea too..5m is a good length

I have taken mine to Malta, there is no problem at all, I didn't have a letter and wasn't asked for one. I think that time I flew EasyJet.
I am going to Peru and Equador in June and intend to take it with me. I dont invisage any problems.

Oh! how the other half live! The nearest I get to Peru these days is Kenco 100% Peruvian coffee - which, with a very slightly alkaline water, really is very good.

They have funny electricity in both those countries - kinda comes and goes. Might have improved in the eons since I was last there, mind!

        Enjoy!

Where did you go and what was it like? Can you advise on what I should pack and what's the food like? Ohh I have so many questions!!
However I will keep them to that for now.

I had to show the letter my clinic gave me at check in at Birmingham airport and she said I should put the machine in my hand luggage even though when I phoned Monarch they told me I could carry it separately as it was not classed as hand luggage but it would not fit because I took the smallest bag ever, then at security I had to take it out of the bag for them to check when getting on the plane again I was asked to put it in my bag I had a tag on it stating it was medical equipment. On the way back from Tenerife they just waved me through not even bothering to look in the bag so suppose it depends on the mood of the day.

On topic: just stick it in your hand luggage and forget about it. Make a fuss about it and you'll get a fuss from everyone covering their asses: don't make a fuss and nor will anyone else.

Off topic: tell a woman what to pack??? a pink, blonde woman at that!!!! You think I'm crazy????? Low altitude - no need to take much. High altitude - take long johns. Half the clothes, twice the money. Socket connector. Extension lead. American dollars, small denominations. Bug spray. Before leaving your hotel for the return airport, check your bags very, very carefully for anything you didn't put in them. And again before checking them in.

What's it like? How good are you at living amongst poverty. It's very different to here - and wonderful and fantastic, as the world is and it's people are.

              TF

Oh! food - I liked the street food best - but watch it being cooked. It's different to here, which is why you are going.

Baby Gail (or Apex 111) and all her accessories, goes in a 2 section back pack, picnic, books, hat in with her. Back pack just goes onto the belt and has been passed with no problem or comment. About 12 times in 2 years.

Only flown with it once so far, Manchester completely ignored it, malaga opened the bag, looked and then closed it again.

I've flown with it a lot in the last 10 years - never been a problem. had to show it twice in about 80 flights, never been questioned what it was

I went to Malta with my machine and had no problems at all. Airline knew what it was and no one asked any questions. I didn't take, or need, any letters from GP
You cant use it on the plane but then you wouldn't need to with such a short flight.
                          Have a great holiday!

                            Off topic to Lorraine

                            You have been out-pinked!

Yesterday I saw a little pink car - maybe a Ford but who cares - and it was complete with long eye-lashes above the headlights.

It was parked at Tesco so I have no idea whether the driver was blond or not. Has to be. And from Essex, to boot!

Glad I am not from Essex !
Why do some people have no taste???
