ipods and ipads

the new generation iPods are great; though iTunes is one of the worst designed pieces of software ever written (I am a software designer who used to specialise in user interface design).

iPads strike me as being pretty pointless; they cost more than a netbook and do less, much less. Latest thing is to connect the iPad to allwaysonPC.com which gives you a virtual PC in the cloud so that you can do the things you want to. Why not just buy a PC?

The Register (an online IT orientated newspaper) christened iPads and similar devices 'fondleslabs':
"Isn't it pretty; so tactile..."
"Yes, but what does it do?"

If you're stuck with doing the ironing, make sure you get a steam generating one; makes it so much easier.

relief ...of a kind

Hi,

I have had an appointment with the nurses at the hospital and have now got a new RespironicsREMstar Auto A flex used with humidifier system one. All seems to be working well apart from the fact that the water level in the humidifier has not gone down at all in the three nights I have been using it and I have woken at about 6 am every day with an incredibly dry mouth, So dry that I have switched off the whole machine. Does anyone have any ideas why the water in the tank does not appear to bebeing used although the humidifier icon is on?
My mask is a full faceMirage Quattro any ideas gratefully received!

The humidifier must be plugged in and the setting raised above '1'. If you have a broken circuit, of course .......
