  • CPAP induced Rhinitis

I have been using a CPAP machine for about 2-months now and I continuously suffer from a blocked nose, itchy nose, throat and ears my doctor has prescribed a Steriod based nasal spray which does seem to help but so far has not eliminated the problem. Has anyone else had similar problems and found a cure?

    Hi David.

I got a tip on here about using a little menthol crystal in the humidifier (only a little, it's overpowering) - you do have a humdifier don't yoou?

If you don't then get one, it should help a bit!

Hi symmit - I do have a humidifier and also have tried menthol crystals, as you say sparingly as they are powerful, it does help a bit but does not eliminate the problem!

Sinupulse is the best solution I've found

Check out the Sinupulse website www.sinupulse.co.uk.
They are supplied by Intus who provide this forrum.
Regular use will obviate the need for steroid treatments.
P.S. despite looking nasty its not at all unpleasant to use!
