  • apex 111 emergency

Hi folks, hope someone can give me advice. Just started 5 day journey to hungary and my machine has decided it needs a holiday too. Its an Apex XT111 and the motor seems to be working (its making its baby dragon noise) but no air going anywhere , all screen functions are ok. If anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate it as getting info over the easter hols seems to be tricky (everyone attacking their easter bunny chocs). Thanks , Martin.

ps...anyone any other suggestions, i'm getting the nasal strips, caffienne tablets and keeping the mask and hose on for security blanket reasons. Sigh, never realised how i had become dependent on the machine until it wasnt there. Now it feels weird NOT using it.

Pps apologies if i dont reply as im not sure what compy access i will have...Happy Easter anyway, if thats appropriate

Check your air passages - inlet filter, inlet pipe, outlet pipe, hose for kinks and blockages. Have you got a sock stuffed in there accidentally?

Have you ever seen the insides of a carton of wine, one of those 3 litre packs? It has foil inside, vacuum packed for freshness.

Those machines look similar on the inside. I've once seen such a machine where through the tube connection hole you could see the wall had caved in for whatever reason. With a torch you can probably see it, if that is what has happened.

If that's not it, and you are sure nothing is blocking the air intake (take out filters briefly) then I don't know, could be anything. But either way, it won't be something you can fix, by the sounds of it.

If it came from us, it'll have to be checked, get in touch if you haven't already.

Ta TF and James....I checked all my tubing and then the machines. I had a sock over my outlet tube but that was due to it falling off a shelf and we wont go into the details!! Survived the couple of days without baby gail, but boy do you feel the difference. Thank Tom too, he was in touch today. Will be in touch.

Ps, those nasal strips that open up the sinuses cut the snoring down from the choking locomotive of last year to a dull roar that wasnt audible outside of the room i was in, dont know if it was just the strips or the year of gale force made the difference.

Pps, you feel a right idiot trying the mask on with no machine just because you have got used to the bl^%$dy thing and it felt weird the first night without it.

WAITAMINUTE !!!! There is 3 litres of wine in that machine and no one told me!! Though i have used those inners as pillows on occasion.

It's an easter egg bonus feature which is unlocked after you clock a week of 7-hour use. Fireworks come popping out and a B-list celebrity rings the door to congratulate you. You have something to look forward to.

The mental pic that brings up...........but i only rate a B list celeb? Suppose i should be grateful, in this era of cutbacks i dread to think what might be available!! Might need the 3 litres to recover.....can we cut back on the fireworks as well, the smoke alarm is really loud (though it might be fun to aim them at the magpies ...those buggers get up early)
