My husband has been on CPAP machine now for a year and has had many problems which others seem to have experienced too. He's battled on and most nights has no problems except he thought using the apparatus would stop him feeling so tired. However, this seems to be getting worse. Have any other people had the same experience? He also has developed a cough but the doctor says there appears to be nothing wrong. We live in France where the service is excellent but no-one seems to be able to give him any answers.

Hi Libby and Welcome.
If after a year he's not feeling any benefit I think I'd be back at the clinic making sure it's (a) effective and (b) that it's the right treatment. There could be other reasons for the tiredness.
Do you have any more information? And have there been any follow-up appointments? Is he on any medication for other conditions that may now need to be adjusted?Last edited by symmit; 4 January 2011, 12:44. -
It happens every now and then that despite CPAP, peole don't feel more energized.
