Wow! That is class. Even better and more detailed than I had hoped for from a video contribution. Thanks puffin, that's all very good to see. Nicely edited too there, Mr Spielberg The one-handed cleaning made me laugh, excellent stuff. Max points, well deserved and a high standard set for other would-be directors!

I couldn't help but thinking that humidifier is massive compared to the nice and compact M Series Plus you have there. Have you contemplated getting the slot-in version specifically for those CPAP machines so you can put that monster of a humidifier under the bed or in the loft? Though I guess, if it works well and with that CPAP on top, it's not that bad actually.

Never seen that mask in action. Those quick release clips seem like a clever deal. Better than velcro it seems.

All in all, a great video contribution. Very helpful for soon-to-be darth vaders. They can see in great detail what's involved, what to expect in terms of kit.

      Good stuff puffin!

My goodness, that's a good video. Congrats with the points! I wouldn't know how to do that, thumbs up! That mask looks great but the machine is just so small! Does it make a lot of noise? Nice effort puffin!

              Thanks everyone, particarlly Admin.

The humidifer is on loan for three months from my hospital clinic. Only been using it for three days. Jury is still out on it! I am finding that I get a lot of condensation in the mask which drips on my face waking me up

The quick release clips are great when it is time to wash the straps. Means that I do not need to change the velcro position as it took me ages to get that right. If you need to get up during the night with a full baldder, your are not messing around with pipes and straps when half asleep.

JackTheSnorer, it is a very compact machine, noise levels are quite low, it's more the sound of air rushing through the pipe and out of the small holes near the nose bridge of the mask.

I used my normal digital camera in movie mode, which I had to hold with my left hand while demontrating the cpap with my right. Filming took about an hour while editing took about 3 hours. Just produced it on the fly no story boarding, it just happened. About half of what I filmed ended up on the cutting room floor/hard disc.

I guess despite the sunny weather, it's a tad cold for 'campervanning' (I checked out your site from your profile, explains the DC power cord starring in your movie).

Interetsing vid there!! Im surprised that while its compact it doesn't seem alot smaller than my Resmed, and nice for me that the hoses and mask are all very familiar. I was worried about falling far far behind in the hi-tech of it all.. I believe Mr. Admin has a really hi-tech setup so I think its his turn to go all inventive with his camera.. lol

                  Well done...

Its never too cold to go camping, as long as your covers have a large tog number. We camp with our local Vdub club, at least 2 weekends a month. Went camping at a steam rally weekend before last, next is bonfire night. We have a trip to Stonehenge on the 22nd December with the club planned. Coldest we have camped in is -6c No such thing as bad weather just bad clothes.

The DC power supply has made it easier to use the cpap while away. My club mates, who always take the pee about anything and everything, have seen me in my mask. Usual comments, "elephant boy" "Daft Ada" "Great Bong" and a few unprintable comments. But once they knew what it was for and asked a few questions, they soon accepted it. So people, if you feel silly and worried about what other people think about your mask. Don't hide it, go out your way to show them, make a joke of it, they will quickly get used to it.

Interestingly one of my camping mates, went through a sleep clinic, was given a cpap, used it for week before throwing it across the bed room one night. Ended up paying for a new machine to replace it. He has also got through 6 cars this year!

Regarding condensation a.k.a. 'rain-out' I just stumbled upon this heated tubing which is designed to keep the humidified air from forming droplets. It may help you avoid mask moisture:

                      http://www.sleepzone.com.au/showitems.asp?heading1='SleepZone%20Heated%20CPAP% 20Tube'

Not sure you can get it here though.

I've also seen just the sleeves on ebay USA. They were a few bucks and ship world wide for pennies.

Really nice video puffin, I'm jealous of your skills! The music makes the hwole thing sounds exciting. Perhaps even non-sleep apnea people will want a mask now after seeing this

Are those stickers from the hospital or is it your own personalization?
                        If you can read this...
...at least you seem to be getting enough sleep to stay awake and alert!

That heated pipe looks interesting, as at the moment I am just trying the humidifer out, I will hang back a while before sourcing one. Used the humidifer a couple of nights then a further couple without then back on again last night. It does help with dry air with the dryness of the nose and mouth. Someone in another thread talked about water in the lungs with humidifer use, could the chap have inhailed condensation from the mask?

I tried puting the tube under the blankets, this helps with warming the tube and air within it. But it does restrict movement during rolling in bed.

The stickers are from the Hospital, one is the eletrical test cert. with do not use after date. The other is the hospital serial no. The electrical test cert. is for the hospital insurance company, the hospitals get out of jail card if something goes wrong with the machine.

                            Here are the tube hoses:

That member with the water filled lungs, I highly doubt it was his CPAP/humidifier causing it. A healthy enough body will know not to put any moisture in the lungs or has a means to get it out again. There have been plenty of clinical trials with humidifiers which prove they increase compliance. If it made people drown, it would have come up during those scientific tests.

Thanks for the e-bay link. I've sent for one of these flees covers, lets see if it helps with the condensation. 15 dollars U.S. and a choice of colours.
