  • Power cut

Had a power cut for most of the night. Now I know the difference the Darth machine makes. I woke up with a headache, feeling tired and unable to concentrate - this used to how every morning was until I got a CPAP.

After a series of power cuts that eventually fried the motherboard of my PC I bought an uninteruptable power supply unit (along with a new PC). Whilst it may not keep a computer running for more than 20 minutes, it may - depending on the power draw, run a CPAP for considerably longer.

That's a good idea indeed Captain. Some machines, like the SleepCube, will also automatically switch from mains to 12V if a battery is hooked up and the mains power drops out. Other machines will sound an alarm when the power is interrupted, so you can take off the mask and breathe without limitation. One or two machines will automatically switch back on when the power comes back. Check the manual of your machines to see how they behave, it's good to be prepared.
