Hi does anyone know what equipment is available from Gloucester PCT?

I go camping a lot and see that some machines can work of DC and battery packs. I wonder if I can argue for this type of machine in order to be compliant?

I'm also struggling with the cold and dry air, so I wonder if I'd be better off with a machine with a humidifier?

Any thoughts?

As I thought, Gloucestershire only issue basic machine. No humidifier. No battery pack. But I can get a DC lead to connect to leisure battery.

Or I can buy one - if I win the lottery.

I'd like to get a Resmed S8 Escape 11. Very frustrating to read these have been issued in some areas, and then left unused.

I live in Somerset and they issue the S8 Escape II, with the Mirage Quattro Full Face Mask.
I've been using a week now with remarkable results from a sleeping point of view, but I have had a few problems, namely with the mask, experiencing a dry throat, and getting dry eyes. I returned to the hospital and they gave me a small mask which has been much better.
I researched a humidifier due to dry throat issues, expecting to pay for one and checked with the hospital that I could use one with my machine, to my surprise they said they'd order one for me and I could pick it up at my 1 month check up!! I don't know if it will come with a heated hose, but if not I'll probably buyone , it's the least I can do.
As far as the eyes are concerned the smaller mask is also better for me, I have invested in a hose stand (to avoid strangulation!), a special cut away memory pillow (to let me sleep on my side, without disturbing the mask!) and some mask liners which I will try tonight
