Hi Wobbly, welcome to the forums!

I've never heard of it and would welcome a reference! Breaking the jaw sounds a little harsh, with potential complications.

Some people can have an operation to re-align the jaw and the way the mouth closes so there's less of a chance of blockage but to just go and smack your head against a wall would not be my idea of OSA treatment!

It's mostly people with retracted lower jaws who can find themselves with difficulties breathing at night. For them, instead of CPAP, mouth splints/mandibular advancement or an operation could be an option. For 'regular' OSA patients these methods don't really work consistently I've heard.

Breaking your jaw doesn't sound like a scientifically backed-up procedure.

I've heard people with a broken nose get breathing problems, I doubt the other way around will be common.
      If you can read this...
...at least you seem to be getting enough sleep to stay awake and alert!

Would the act of breaking be done by a medical professional or as a home remedy I wonder?
