Hi everyone
advice needed please, seen ENT dr 2 weeks ago, he says its worth me trying a mandibular device im not convinced, he is reffering me to orthodontic-- hospital dentist, this is based on i had a sleep endiscope before xmas, i was put to sleep in theartre to see wot happens when i sleep
consultant put a madnibular device in my mouth as i slept and this by all accounts meant my airway dident collapse as much, this was before cpap
my concern is i have servere sleep apnea 130 apneas a hour,
wot ive read about mandibular devices says they aint good at treating servere sleep apnea so dont really want a mandibular unless im convinced its going to work
been using cpap since xmas, feel bit better on cpap but still very sleepy throughout day, throat is totally mucos membrains dried out, and no matter how much fluids i drink help tried cpap humidifier didnent help, gp is wrinting to consulant to try and get me a auto cpap i wont give up on getting one!!
