At last - Good news for Essex
Hi Folks,
I've been trying to get the Mid Essex Trust to open a CPAP unit locally for a long while, with radio and local paper input, letters to the trust and to my MP. I've had lots of vague promises from various Chief execs but no real action. Us essex folks have to travel to London for treatment currently.
I got a letter from my MP today enclosing a letter from the Trust confirming that a new CPAP unit is now in place with a newly appointed specialist nurse at Broomfield Hospital Chelmsford, and that the trust is going to bring back the service from the London Hospital to Broomfield beginning April 2010.
Thanks to all the support and encouragement from Forum members and James we have a positive result. Special thanks to Hamish 2009 for all the work he's put in writing letters etc, it might be that his imput tipped the balance in making the trust respond.
