  • Will CPAP adjust to stop snoring?

I have a Respironics auto BiPAP and noticed when looking at the reports that the machine detects snoring events, what I don't know is if the BiPAP will adjust pressure to stop snoring... does anyone know??? THANKS!

    Hi and welcome!

Positive airway pressure improves airway stability which helps avoid sleep-disordered breathing. That includes snoring. Most people eradicate snoring completely when on CPAP or BiPAP. Modern machines indeed record snores and may even use snoring as part of their predictive algorithm and adjust pressure accordingly.

So yes, it will take it into account and try and abolish it.
