  • First night tonight

    Hi all,

well got my diagnosis and issued with my machine today by the Queen Alexander Hospital Portsmouth, must say first class service, only 16 weeks from referral to diagnosis and treatment.

Anyway, been given an Auto CPAP and half mask so lets see how I get on, after reading some of the threads I know what side effects to look out for. Back in on 4th Jan for update.

Will let you all know how I get on.

Well 2 days in and what a difference

My bruises are going away cause she said I have stopped snoring (she does say its like sleeing with Darth Vader though )

My boss is pleased because I stay awake during meetings

I arrive home with some energy and don't fall asleep on the setee

    I am even eating less

Should have done this 2 years ago.

BTW I have been given a ResMed Autoset Spirit II and a ResMed Mirage Liberty mask

Great news Pitbull :-) I am sure that you'll continue to feel the benefit as time goes on. I am about 3 months in now and I am very pleased with the results.
Simes2112 ... 2112 is the title of an album by Rush from 1976, it changed my life ... and now 33 years later CPAP is doing the same.

Yeah that's great going from the start, well done. You'll start noticing all sorts of "I didn't know life was like that" benefits over the coming weeks. Most people start feeling depressed in winter, you do the opposite. And come spring, you get another boost with the extra light.
