  • Tips from Sleep Matters.

I'm going to make an exception to not posting as this is too important.

Some good tips from the Sleep Apneoa Trust (well worth joining btw).

    1) High pressure and mask problems.

Using a template of nose - cut out daily plasters from Duoderm Extra-thin Hydrocolloid Dressing supplied by NHS - really makes a difference and reduces rubbing on nose (user has machine at 19 - eekkk)

    2) Dionised water is available via NHS Supplies (who they) ? Wonder if other water is available

3)Dryness of mouth - air caused mouth to dry out - Doctor prescribed Glandosane Synthetic Saliva - most helpful.

I second that. Their printed newsletter is a great source of unqiue tips and tricks to get the most out of the CPAP therapy.

Their website can be found here: http://www.sleep-apnoea-trust.org/ Everyone should have it bookmarked as it countains many good pages and links.

If you know anyone with the symptoms of OSA, print out this PDF and hand it to them.

    Thanks for the tip, chelseauk!
